Hi.So at last i got connected to the page from where i could download the SNAP service emulator.I have WTK2.3 on my pc in c drive. I have service emulator there. I have installed both as they should be installed. But when i try running sample SNAP application provided with WTK and try logging in, i get an authentication error.Why is this happening?Can somebody advice on how should i proceed?

Hi,

If you are getting authentication errors on log in, there is a chance that you are running a version of sample code against an earler/later version of the server emulator.

The WTK 2.3 version of the server emulator was configured with the following test accounts:

"wtktest1"
"wtktest2"
"wtktest3"... (etc. up to wtktest10)

The password for all the accounts above was "wtktest".

However, more recent versions of the server emulator (e.g., the one available from Forum Nokia) come configured with the following test accounts instead:

"test1",
"test2"
"test3"... (etc. up to test10)

The password for these accounts is "test".


There is a chance you are connecting w/ sample code that uses one of these sets of logins, against an emulator version that is configured with a different set....
