All proceeds well from the PC side. BT finds the phone and I initiate pairing, and enter a passcode, 1234. The phone then asks if i want to pair with my laptop, which I accept. It then prompts for the passcode, which I enter, 1234. The phone then says 'connecting', and nothing else happens, indefinitely, for many minutes, until I give up and press cancel, at which time my phone tells me the Bluetooth connection has been cancelled. At this point my PC thinks the phone is paired, but the phone lists no paired devices, and indeed, isn't paired. Any help please!

You are not alone ! I have got the exact same problem when using 3Com Usb Bluetooth adapter (3CREB96) on the Nokia 6310 when trying to start dail-up networking. The 3Com Connection manager detects the Nokia and I am able to sent a bunisness card to it, however the Nokia 6310 does not recognize the 3Com adapter. A virtual COM:x must be used to establish the connection. The Nokia connection manager does not function properly at all !! Can Nokia only 'connect people' and not devices !
