MMAPI MP3 playback memory limit on Nokia 6680 -

Hi Guys - We are developing an application which uses MMAPI to play MP3 files on a Nokia 6680. There seems to be a memory limitation as to the size of files we can load and play. Anything greater than about 1.2 mb fails to load with an out of memory error. Anything smaller is fine.
1. Is this something you guys have encountered or would expect? 2. Is there another alternative such as local streaming of the file? cheers. Roland

FYI We "resolved" this by upgrading original firmware from 3.04 to 5.04.
