I downloaded the sdk for SNAP recently.It shows two main packages:::
1)com.nokia.sm.util;
2)com.nokia.sm.net
But when i look at the code of the snapMobile Sample given by you, there is a package that has been imported.It is com.nokia.sm.ui. Which is this package?Is it the same as mentioned above in 2) ? Or is it different??
Regards...
Abhi

I did not find that package com.nokia.sm.ui in the SNAP Mobile SDK sample (HelloWorld midlet). Which sample are you referring to?

The SDK in the WTK 2.3 Beta is outdated and will no longer be supported when the WTK 2.5 Beta comes out later this month.

I would advise you to use the SNAP Mobile 1.1 SDK available through Forum Nokia.

Thanks,
Matt

Hi,

The "com.nokia.sm.ui" package was a set of classes for creating/managing GUIs, that was released in binary jar form only in the WTK 2.3 -- it formed the basis of the GUI for the SnapMobileSample app in that release.

As noted, there is a brand new release of the WTK (v2.5) which contains an updated version of the SnapMobileSample app. This version also uses the com.nokia.sm.ui classes, but only in binary format, not released as source.

Look to the imminent release of the SNAP Mobile SDK v1.2 on Forum Nokia -- the next release should contain the source code for these classes, so you can inspect/borrow/improve/etc. them yourself! Note that these will be released as sample code, but not as "officially supported API" code -- so they are free for your own use, but are meant for illustrative purposes only and we will not be receiving bug reports, requests for features, etc. for these classes.

Thanks,
Sam Trychin
