Hullo.I am trying to follow the instructions given in the Pdf file for running HelloWorld Example.I have the server emulator, the wtk2.3, everything. But when i execute the HelloWorld application in wtk2.3 i get things going right only till.... "Sending Hello World Message". This is followed by two errors 1) Server Error 717: unknown gameclass 2) Server Error 965: Authentication Error.
I dont know why is this happening.I have tried using the username test1 password test and username:wtktest1 and password wtktest. But the same issue in both cases. Can someone help???
Regards

When you're login (for example calling extendedLogin method) you need to pass "game class id". I think you need to configure server emulator (gameclasses.cfg file?) to add your game class ID.

Please make sure that you are using all components from the same SDK.
You can not mix WTK 2.3 with the 1.1 Forum Nokia SDK release.

I suggest that you use the 1.1 Hello World with the 1.1 emulator.
Or use the 2.5 WTK with the upcoming 1.2 SNAP Mobile SDK being release very soon on Forum Nokia.

The basic issue you are having is configuration of users and GCIDs.
This has been made much easier in the 1.2 emulator.

Thanks,
Matt

There is a new version of Sun's WTK (2.5) that has just been released in the last couple of days. It is available on Sun's website at:

http://java.sun.com/products/sjwtool...nload-2_5.html

The latest SNAP Mobile SDK (v1.1.1) is available on Forum Nokia, and can be reached here:

- go to "http://www.forum.nokia.com/"
- click on "Tools and SDKs" in the left-hand menu bar
- this will bring up a popup menu. Select "Java Tools"
- select the "SNAP Mobile Client SDK"
- from here you can download the SDK, which contains all up-to-date documentation as well.

NOTE: there will shortly be a new release of the SNAP Mobile SDK on the Forum Nokia website (at the same location, just re-download and install the new version). The new release contains greatly expanded sample code, including a fully-featured multiplayer game which illustrates proper usage of most SNAP Mobile API features, as well as proper handling of errors and asynchronous events, etc. It also contains expanded documentation, and a significantly enhanced graphical server emulator with development and testing tools built in. Look for this release, it's coming very soon!

I'll repost in this forum when it's up.

Thanks!,
Sam

Sorry, meant to add:

If you upgrade to the WTKv2.5, you will need to download the SNAP Mobile SDK v.1.1.1 in order to get the latest version of the Server Emulator. This version is required in order to run the sample code in WTK 2.5.

Thanks,
