i want to capture an image while an image is showing in the background as well i want camera canvas on half screen and image on the remainng half at the same time thats wht i want how can i do it please guide me i am new to J2ME i draw the image bye graphics.drawImage(); method but its not showing camera canvas is showing on all the screen and how can i manage to save the captured image along with the background image as well Thx in advance

basically when you are using camera feature you can get "snapshot" of image/video to byte array and then you can either draw it using graphics method or make an image from that array of bytes,
then you can simply impose one image on top of other drawing image in sequence (last drawImage will overwrite part of underlying image),

com.nokia.mid.ui.DirectGraphics which is optional package for Nokia midlets has wide range of different tools that could be used together or instaed of MIPD impementation of Graphics methods (transparency, bit levels, etc),
see any documentation that comes with Nokia SDK,

in my application i have to have a background through out the life cycle of the application.It should be constant,other items must be displayed on the background....
