Hi everybody
thanks to Zen's ppeditor, here's 'Notepad' well i just made an 'app' (without c++,sdk,sis... thanks a lot to cyke64 see this thread) and added an icon just like xp notepad icon(preview here) you can DOWNLOAD it from HERE (light version for faster startup) last modified 18.09.2006 or download the complete version of PPEditor here with more options(search, replace...) but slower at startup (i use them both )decompress the zip file then put Notepad folder in System\Apps\ (C:\ or E:\ depending where you installed python) i'm really new to python, but i'll try to make some improvments oops forgot, for complete newbies : you need python installed first, find it here if you want to change the logo of pys60 to the actual official python logo see this thread see you soon bye bye ![]()

hiiiiiiiiiiiiii
new : now can execute py scripts (with its fast file browser, can be very usefull...) bye bye ![]() |
|
new : some modifications
(see help file, now working from the editor) 2 shortcuts available now old one : green button take you to a specific folder new one : key 5 to create a new file creating new files don't need '.txt' extension now, only the filename still need some improvements... PPeditor's file browser is the fastest i 've seen till now in python but cycling trough files work only from up to down, not from down to up... (any idea how to solve that ?) i'll try to learn more python programming and improve PPeditor note : same download link(see above) byyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyye ![]() |

little bug fixed
running a python script in full or large screen mode caused the editor to run in these modes(after returning) now the editor return to normal screen mode thats all ![]() |
|
2 new useful shortcuts, and some little improvements(exit confirmation...)
old shortcuts in file browser mode green key > go to a specific folder key 5 > new file new shortcuts in text mode green key > go to file browser key OK > file quick save work in progress... bye bye ![]()

oops
just fixed a mistake i did in the code, shortcut 5 still create a new file in a specific folder(can be modified), while classic method can create again(return to normal )a new file in any folder |
|
NEW !!!
now the ability to cycle in the file browser is almost done(cycle through file in any direction) , still a little bug... but already quite useful see you ![]() |
|
very little improvement
just the ability to rename a file and also i tried to make a light version of PPEditor, usually we need to take some notes quickly, so for faster startup i keeped only the essential things, the editor is now about 7 ko instead of 35 ko !!! still trying to compile it from py to pyc(or pyo) for even faster startup(also standard libraries can be compiled to pyc, i already did it )EDIT : done for pyc, but pyo(which is maybe even faster) don't seem to work... bye bye ![]()
