i want to change the backgroung color of an image lets say i have captured an image from camera and now i want to change its background color while drawing this image on canvas in paint method how can i do it i have used the graphics.setColor(0,0,0); but unable to succeed help needed.

hi Muhammad,

with sun MIDP 2.0 api you can get all pixels data from image and check them againts values or argb, modify each pixels if required then draw new images from modified bytes (see Image class getRGB()/createRGBImage(..)), Nokia extra api with DirectGraphics/DirectUtils add additional features you can use to implement alpha channel (for example you can lower transparency of pixels which are white and draw directly on canvas without a need to create new image after pixel manipulation),
