[makuchaku]

How to reproduce...

1) Run python shell
2) Hit enter key till you reach the bottom of screen
3) the current line being typed & the cursor are hidden below the menubar.

Can anyone please suggest a workaround for this... ofcourse, using BT shell is one, but getting it working on the phone itself?

The same problem occurs on the E60

Try adv_i_console5.py - advanced console (aiCON alpha 5, can't remember where I found it).
It has command for clear screen and much more.

I've found the script... just googling for its name works, but i think its not meant for 3rd edition... crashes on my phone... E61

Okay, here's a dirty workaround...

run python, run the interacive shell

import appuifw as a
import series60_console as s
a.app.body = s.Console()
s.app.body.clear()

this clears the screen & brings the prompt back to top of
the screen.

BTW, i've opened a bug for this... Please file all your comments & findings there also.

Did some trivial changes to interactive_console.py so as to add clear screen option in options menu. The patch is available here http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index...55&atid=790646
