Hi,
i want an idea about the issue of "Image Capture" from midlet.

I tried my image capture application with SonyEricsson W550 it is working fine, and

I tried the same appliaction with i-mate SP3(Windows CE mobile)and with Nokia 6020 ("Both are MIDp2.0 support "), the application not even loaded and the exception as javax.microedition.media.MediaException

one more thing the value of System.getProperty("video.snapshot.encodings"); become null.

Please tell me what are all the mobiles will support the ImageCapture from Midlet.

some exact (supporting)mobile models please...

Gnanasekaram, MIDP 2.0 includes a subset of MMAPI. You can play simple tones on any MIDP compliant device but if you want to use camera, or anything more fancy you need the MMAPI on your device.

The complete implementation of MMAPI is optional, so it might or might not be on the device (however nowadays the API is on most of the devices). check the device specs at www.forum.nokia.com/devices

MMAPI spec gives a lot of room form the manufacturers to implement specific features (for example which audio and video formats are supported). In this case the problem is that snapshop is not supported on Nokia Series 40 2nd Edition devices (6020 is such a device)
