i want to develop a program in which images are shown in thumbnail form and the user can select one of the image for some purpose i think its possible in canvas anyone had done this before or some thing like that or can i get help on that issue please reply me or if some had done this it will be great for me.

There are several ways to display a list of images and their thumbnail representations. I recommend that you start with a Form and ChoiceGroup Items. Here are some of the immediate issues:

• In J2ME you will have to manually resize your images to make thumbnails. There are resize algorithms posted on this forum.
• If you are hoping to read images from the Gallery, be sure your camera supports JSR-75.
• Large or many images will seriously tax memory.
• I suggest you get your Form working with simple Items or StringItems and then add the thumbnails later.

Hint: Use Display.getBestImageWidth(Display.CHOICE_GROUP_ELEMENT) to help determine what size thumbnails to create.
