hello ,

I carefully read 1.3.8 source code and compare it with 1.3.1 with winmerge 2.5.4
I'm wondering if I could compile it for 2nd Edition instead of 3rd edition and make a sis file for installing it on my 6600 Nokia phone ?

Has someone tried to make it ?

PS : I think that !\python\libs is better than \sys\lib
and !\python is better than awful !\system\app\python\my
Please change to the new dir convention also for the 1st and 2nd editi on

These path changes are necessitated by the 3rd ed platform security policy. It is not really feasible to change these things to 1st/2nd version.

There's nothing serious preventing 1.3.8 from working on 2nd ed so you should be able to compile it with little or no effort. There isn't too much new stuff either, though.
