My midlet is installed in Applications menu. How can I quit the midlet, and
bring the user to the very first screen where you see date, time, battery bar and signal strength ? |

Depends on the model you are using. For the most of S40 mobile phones I guess you cannot get such functionality (as well as for S60 too).

Hi tanc08,
He's right, AFAIK there's no way to control anything native from a MIDlet, unfortunately. HTH! BR, Juarez Junior |

I heard it is possible in symbian OS. Is it true ?

hi tanc08,
you should ask that on Symbian/C++ section: http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/fo...isplay.php?f=6, screen in subject is "idle screen", I do not see any reason why you want to brake general user interaction habits on S60 phones and put she into idle screen - will she need to press (S60) Applicaiton button again if she wants to do something? On S60 there are quick access shortcuts to switch between idle screen (phone) or applications, which is enough for users to decide where to go, - do we program software for Windows/OSX which once closed hides all other windows and show desktop??? regards, peter |
