Hi,

i'm quit new to programming python, but want to learn it

I have a Nokia N80 (Symbian OS 9.1 und Series 60 3rd Edition) and want to receive the CellID, so i wrote the following programm:

import location

print(location.gsm_location())

But all i get, is "None". I looked around and found the following:
* 'location.gsm_location()' returns 'None' instead of tuple if the
location information is not relevant. Note that this module
requires the capabilities ReadDeviceData, ReadUserData and Location
to function.

So, is there a possibility to get the cellID?

Thanks in advance,

Michael

The only way to play with the cell ID is to get the heavier grade devcert. It requires an ACS publisher ID and that costs money (350$/year).
