We are developing a J2ME app. for the latest S40 handset .The handset's music player support A2DP profile already. So user can listen to music with bluetooth headset. The problem is can we use this A2DP in our J2ME app? So the music produced by our J2ME app can be listened with the bluetooth headset, just like the defautl music player?

Is it possible? What API should I use in J2ME??

Thanks a lot.

Hi,
I believe this Java API does not exist but the A2DP player in Java does exist, see discussion where I posted about existance of a player. The main problem with this player it is deliberately locked to one set of stereo headphones which are only available in some countries.

hi,

I have found out that a custom proprietary library is loaded, this contains code to drive the A2DP stereo head phones. There isnt any documentation

Therefore I have no news on this function.
UPDATE:
I have disassembled the code using various tools and there is no way to work out what is going on with MSI Player because of obscufication.
