hi
i'm new to the world of J2ME. I plan to make a small application for controlling mouse cursor through my bluetooth phone. I have a Nokia 6230 but i'll like to make my application as general as possible. I'm using Netbeans Mobility pack and used it to make the interface of the application but it doesnt seem to have any aid for Bluetooth optional package (JSR 82, BTAPI) of J2ME. Could you please guide me how to go about it. Also i i plan to use a java application to run on computer to accept the connection from phone but can't find any help on that either. Does J2SE have any Bluetooth libraries? If yes, where can i find help for them? Thank you

Hi Welcome to Bluetooth forum,
The program you will need is Bluecove which uses Windows XP SP2 bluetooth compatible devices and works with Netbeans ans J2SE. J2SE does not have JSR82 as this standard is J2ME devices. see http://bluecove.sourceforge.net/ and this list of Bluetooth adapters http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=841803 Good Luck Jim |
