With 6230 and Asus Mypal a620 i could BRILLIANTLY use my T-mobile internet service.
NOW, I use 6280 and a730 (from the same brands) and I'd like to use the internet just as i used to. However it does not work, and it makes me mad. Through PcSuite the internet worked well from my PC, however, I could not connect via my phone (Bluetooth dialup modem) from my PDA. The connection always breaks before the phone could get online. Is there ANYTHING I could do to get this "mobile partnership" work? It would be so important for me, I hope you will be able to help me. |

Hi Welcome to the Bluetooth Forum,
I assume you can run the Active Sync 5.0 bluetooth and you have used this to load the latest version of firmware for PDA, my experience is that most PDA using Windows Mobile software need the firmware upgraded to latest revision to run bluetooth. When you loaded Active sync did you get a good connection to you PDA. If you connect to internet from PDA via your PC, successfully then try connecting to your ISP Via the 6280. You must copy over the code #99 which corresponds to you ISP and you must send the correct word for T-Mobile from your PDA setup. This is same as PC Suite uses, look on T-Mobile website or speak to T-Mobile. Make sure you select the correct code for GSM or GPRS if T-mobile offer this facility. Good Luck, Jim |

If you have done this before it will do no harm to do it again. http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/Dispatcher..._phone_setting Be Good Luck, Jim |

Hi skoos
Thanks a lot, I will try the steps you mentioned. How could i refresh the firmware you mentioned? You meen to upgrade the WM2003 to WM 5.0? Well yes get the latest release for WM2003 which supports Bluetooth they are scattered around internet Anyway, it sounds good, i hope it will help. I had trouble with a Compaq IPAQ and found an upgrade, which was D/L using active sync using cable and the Bluetooth started working. Any software refreshment on the phone could help on this? No, Only a dealer can upgrade a phone, chances are its not the phone anyway. I cant find any known problems listed for this phone. Get the SMS sim upgrade T-mobile message first Jim |

What is "SMS sim update"? I don't really know what you mean. I've changed my old sim card for a new one when i got my new phone, i heard, that it is much better.
Seems, that all the firmware and stuff are the latest in my PDA... Thats bad news.![]()

WOW, back again!
![]() Ok, seems, that i was the bull, i overcomplicated the previous problem a bit. However, now, the connection exists, the GPRS works well, but the internet can not be reached. In fact, only the web pages. The network is OK, the download is fine, but browsing the internet fails. With all the browsers i have. I think it must be some port thing.... what could i do?!?! ![]() |
