Have an unlocked Nokia 6270. Currently have media files saved on 1GB MiniSD that came with the phone.

Used Nokia MultiMedia Converter 2.0 to convert a couple of AVI videos I had to .3GP. Then I used the PC Suite that came with the phone(after upgrading software online) to transfer said .3GP files to phone.

The vid were playing just fine the first day. Both audio and video. I then charged it overnight. When I tried to play video again the next day on my commute. The video played but no audio on the built in speakers or the with the attached headset.

When I got home I figure the file got corrupted somehow, although the MP3 saved within the same MiniSD Card plays just fine on both headset and speakers. I deleted vids and reloaded them. Same result; picture no audio. So I bought another card thinking the card may be bad. Sames result.

Played around with the settings. Can't find anything amiss. So I redid the conversion from AVI to 3GP and loaded it to the MiniSD Card via the card reader and not thru the phone. Making sure before loading that indeed the audio played. Same result.

I am at loss at this point. I am not sure wether the phone is bad or there is a setting somewhere that I do not know about.

A little more background on the phone:
Nokia 6270
firmware: V03.69
Setting are set for the Cingular network in the US (MMS etc. setting dnld from the Nokia support webiste)
Everything works 100% on the phone with the exception of no audio when playing video.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi lordtrader! Welcome to Nokia Discussion Boards!!

Have you tried playing the videos that came along with the phone, Does they work fine? May be you should give a try with downloading some 3GP videos from net try playing it. I doubt some problem might have occoured while you converted the files.

Regards
Gopal

Thank you for the welcome.

Yes I have played the one video that came with the phone. It does play fine. Both audio and video are present. I have not tried dnld of the net however.

I just bought another 512MB MiniSD Card tonight. No go on that as well. But I do have this gut feeling that it has something to do with the SD Card. I had forgot to mention that when I initially inserted the 2GB MiniSD Card, the phone read it at 1GB. I formated it and it read it as 2GB.

Going to try and convert to MPEG4 and see if I have any luck with that.
