Oh, this is an SVG themes. There's nothing u can do about it. The package icon stored in the .mif files. So far, there's no tools to extract the .mif. Sorry for bad news bro

BTW, u can't edit the already made themes (.SIS). Even u'had extract it (also with the .mif), mostl people just take the exracted images (bitmap) then use it to their new themes. Especially for 2nd edition FP2 (not SVG themes-> 2nd edition fp3 onward).

Thaks for the info.

The thing is that i want to create my own theme.
I want to keep everything like it is in my Nokia N73 original theme
exept of changing the background.
I tried to do so and loaded a new background in a template theme in Carbide.ui. When i saved the theme i chose to only save the background but
when i then tested the theme in my phone i had new colors, font, clock and so on.

So my question is, how do i find an template for Carbide.ui of the original Nokia theme so i then modify it(changing only the background and keepin everything else).

Hope you understand

AFAIK, create a new themes, choose "BaseGraphics", change only the "Background", create the package, choose "3rd edition (NOT FP1)"...done!

Is it true?

How about try to create an online theme?

Did exactly as you said but i got same result.
I used to select "3rd edition (FP1)" and this time i selected "3rd edition (NOT FP1)"

I selected only the background but when i tested the theme om my N73 it had new color, font etc.

I tried the ownskin.com homepage and created the theme over there but with the same result.
The background has changed but the font is black, the clock is different, the design is different from the original Nokia N73 theme.

What is wrong?

thanks for your help

I got your point (It took me a while though:-). The thing is that in the Carbide.ui you decorate, change the elements, you want have changed. In case you do not change the element, the default one is used.

I suppose that the default image for the Clock, some texts, etc. is different from your default Nokia theme.

I don't think you can do anything about it. There is no way to choose what you want to keep. As far as I know everything should look the same on the phone as in the Carbide.ui, except for icons.

Only thing I am 99.5% sure is, that the icons stay the same as the ones in the Nokia theme.

I have one question regarding this topic. I got Nokia N80 and as fas as I understood from your conversations is, that there is no way to edit Nokia original themes that came with device, but I'm wondering is there any similar templates that I can use to edit with Carbon.ui? I've seen those 7 templates that came with Carbon.ui but is there any other i can download from Inet?

Thanks

hi there... i am a newbie at this, dunno if i am at the right place, but hope i can get some help here =)

I would like to be able to view the source code if an SIS application, cos i would like to use it as a reference to create a similar application. How do go about viewing the codes of the application itself?

Thanks in advance for the help rendered.

Hi,
If this has been solved then good.
But if I'm to understand this situation you only want the background changed. ONLY the background?

Then why not just make the picture of interest the background by using the phone itself to change the background.
Thats all...no need to delve into themes when its only the background.

But off course if you want to change the backgrounds in all the elements....
ok then tell me how this pans out...
