A .sis file is just a package file, so you can install it on an emulator, but the actual .sis file contents (the program executables/binaries) must be compiled specifically for the emulator.

In other words, a .sis file intended to be installed and run on an actual device will not run in the emulator (the emulator simulates the device environment, but it isn't a hardware emulator and does not execute device binaries).

In the emulator, If I used installation /app. mgr / to download a sis file (testtheme.sis) (which created from carbide.ui and containing themes only). The file is found in the folder c:\symbian\9.1\s60_3rd_mr\epoc32\winscw\c\data\testtheme.sis then might I know how to make the testtheme.sis effective in the list choice under emulator /tools /themes ?
