message handler does not recognise python files and will not start the python installer. I installed PythonForS60_1_3_12_3rdEd_selfsigned.SIS and PythonScriptShell_1_3_12_3rdEd_selfsigned.SIS on my cell phone (N93), and I am trying to install a simple python script on the phone, but the message handled only allows me to open it in an editor. No option to install the script. I also tried the tric of making E:\\Python directory on the phone and putting the script there, but that does not work either.

Are you able to run the basic script like ball.py for example?

Try to rename your E:\\Python to e:\\python ("python" with all small letters). That could be the problem since "Python" is different than "python"

Hi,
the python recognizer isn't working in 3rd ed phones. You can put inside of sis file your script and install that to the phone. (see previous posts of this subject)
