Yes, what seppo told is working, If you have connected with PC suite and other connections remove it. Then start the BTpointopoint program in the phone (make sure you have the serial port connected) and connect Hyper terminal and choose com X( for X check with the port number expresed in BlueTooth connection). Thats it, now send message from the phone you can see Hello world appearing in the terminal

I would like to make an application, based on the examples
in the 60 Series SDK, with which I can print text from the phone to the Bluetooth com port and view the text in the terminal program on the PC. So far I have only been able to see illegible character sequences. Does anyone have any advice that might help me get going? Thx. |

Open P2P example, and 'Connect' to your PC. Check from the PC that the serial port link is now established.
Setup the COM port in Hyper terminal to be to same used by the Bluetooth Serial Port on your PC. Click 'Call' in Hyper Terminal to get connected to the serial port. Then 'Send Message' from the 7650. 'Hello World' should be displayed in Hyper Terminal. Seppo Forum Nokia Used combination: Nokia Connectivity Card DTL-4, BT SWS 1.09, Win2k, Hyper Terminal |
