Can somebody guide me about how to create 3rd Party Icons using Carbide.ui 3.1?
I can't create it I got the app's UID from FExplorer (Options + Tools + Installed Applications) and the app's name from there (behind the UID). I reloaded themes by close Carbide and open it again). I'm using N70 (S60 2nd Edition FP3). Ruli Rahmadi Forum Nokia |

After you reload the themes the icons will appear in the view that is launched when you select in Resource view: Icons->Application Icons. Look at the bottom of the all icons view.

I have made a few experiments, the icon shows on my N80 when I give it a mask in Carbide.ui. What phone do you have?

N70 (2nd ed fp3)...
Can u show me the step by step? Try with apps for 2nd ed and also post the UID and apps name under Carbide. With screenshot will be more good, if u don't mind ... Thanks ... Ruli Rahmadi Forum Nokia |

Let's modify icon that we have both installed and it is not in "application icons" what about "Snakes"? If we agree on one app then it is easy to analyze where is the problem.
I have tried skinning 3rd party app using following procedure: 1) Select some icon in application icons, convert it to the bitmap. 2) Copy paste it into the target 3rd party icon. 3) Extract mask from the bitmap image. 4) Put mask (using Add/Replace mask...) from the external location to the 3rd party icon. 5) Now just save it, make package and see how it looks on the phone. |

I think 3rd party icons only works for FP3 not FP2 cause it doesn't work on my Nokia N90 but it works on my wifes Nokia N93. can anyone else confirm it please
