Does anyone out there know how to eliminate the camera clicking sound when taking a picture with getSnapshot() (JSR135).

This is generally the case with all Ericsson phones (K800i, K610, K750 etc), only setting the phone in Silence mode gets rid of the sound. But we like to avoid putting into silence mode, and we would prefer using a Java function call instead of phone settings.

In general, not possible from Java ME. Some phones might have some proprietary ways to handle this, but there is no generic solution.
