I'm developing a streaming video application for Nokia N80 and it's for the most part working out fine so far. I'm now looking at things that can interrupt my video streaming app and how it responds to these interruptions. The main interruption I am trying at the minute is an incoming call - while streaming the video (in VideoControl.USE_DIRECT_VIDEO mode), I call the phone, screen changes and "Answer", "Ignore" options come up. If I answer the call, then hang up from the calling phone, I can see from debugging outputing that neither pauseApp() or startApp() are getting called.

So...
1) can anyone advise the best way to handle such interruptions?
2) what other sorts of interruptions (that don't terminate the app outright) can there be, apart from incoming calls?

Are you using Canvas? Try hideNotify()
