I'm currently streaming .3gp files (using RTSP) using MMAPI.
Is it possible to stream .sdp files? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Session...ption_Protocol for more info)
I've tried it, but the N80 doesn't like it (I get a prefetch error I believe, I will verify this shortly).

I think some of the streams I tried were sdp streams. Some of them worked some of them not, so appareantly if you do some tweaking in the stream, you should be able to get it done. Unfortunately I do not know what is the magic trick here (did not touch any of those streams myself)

Ok, a good page regarding SDP is here:

Basically an SDP file is a text file describing where the media is (IP/port) amongst other things. The Nokia N80's HTTP protocol does support the "application/sdp" type, which is what is required. (Not got it actually working yet, but it looks hopeful!)

(Although can't get RealPlayer to play any of them yet, and RP is too rubbish to even tell me what the problem is!)

A further note: The N80 needs SDP streams it opens to actually have an .sdp extension, even though some streaming servers (e.g. Darwin Streaming Server) will automatically try adding .sdp to the end of a URL.

Darwin can create SDP files for you - you need to create a playlist for this to happen.
