Hello All,

I have been testing, and looking for posts about streaming, size limitation in playing local files, and looks like j2me in nokia devices can not play large local files because it loads the full file before stating to play.

I can't beleabe there is no one that has the same need as I do that has done any work around or had found any solution to that problem.

At this point I don't really care about the device, any Nokia will do, but I will like to know if there is any way of playing large mp3, acc, etc files storaged in the phone local file system.

Sorry if this post is done several times, but I'm just not able to find any solution to this, and I MUST be able to play any size local file.

Hi!

Same problem here, my friend. I have to make an Audio Player for a few S40 3rd Ed handsets that uses custom playlists. So far i have made the playlists engine (almost like an iPod Nano) and a few animated buttons, but don't know how to play the hole mp3/aac without interrupting frames (manual streaming).

I'm still waiting for a respose from somebody who knows/tested/fixed this problem.

So far i have done nothing but workaround :).

Hello pig30n,

Looks like the problem is there and there is no solution yet, no body answers... Maybe we can add this some how to the Nokia development "wish list".

Mean while, can you add the sorce code of your workaround to take a look?
