Hi all,

I am writing a midlet that connect to IP cam and display the jpeg images on the phone. This midlet already worked fine on Sony Ericsson phone but it failed on Nokia. When I tried to create an image from the input stream of the IP camera, it threw an exception: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Image format is not supported.

This is my code to create an image

MJPEGFrame frame = (MJPEGFrame) obj;

try
{
img = Image.createImage(frame.getData(), 0, frame.getData().length);
}
catch( Exception e )
{ e.printStackTrace();}

MJPEGFrame is an object that hold the data of images. The exception was caught at Image.createImage although again it worked on SE fones.

So my question is
1. how to create image on Nokia
2. I heard that some people use Nokia API to create image, so could some one show me some example or info about Nokia API.

Hi everybody,

I tested my midlet on emulators from the Carbide.j which is integrated in Eclipse including Prototype_4_0_S60 and Prototype_4_0_80. On these emulators, it is said that the image format is not supported. However, when I tested it on S60 emulator from S60 SDK, it worked.

So could you give me your ideas about this problem.

I use the 6131 NFC which should support jpeg!!

what is the problem??
