I have written an app. that plays video clips from the memory card. The image size of the video is reduced to a small square, bearing in mind that the original image size of the video is 176*144. How can I solve this problem? Below is the code for the size:

However, when I play that same video clip with N80 default player, this problem (reduced image size) is not there.

Check the methods in Video Control
setDisplaySize(int width, int height)
Resize the video image.
And
setDisplayFullScreen(boolean fullScreenMode)
Set the size of the render region for the video clip to be fullscreen.

Remember that the N80 screen is 352x416 so the original 176x144 video naturally looks small.

Note that
"If the dimensions of the requested display size are bigger than the dimensions of the video clip, some implementations may resize the video while others may leave the video clip in the original size and just enlarge the display region. It is left up to the implementation where the video clip is placed in the display region in this instance (i.e., it can be in the center of the window or in a corner of the window)."

After much testing on the N80 with fullscreen function and image size functions as well. I tried everything and anything but didn't work. Tested the same app on sony ericsson k800 and every function that is called worked.

It appears that VideoControl.setDisplaySize(int width, int height) does not work on Series 60 handsets (it's a no-op). Thus a 176x144 video playing on a 352-wide screen looks tiny.
