Hi

I've just got an e61 and it's been almost impossible getting video streaming working. I am on a T Mobile web and walk plus account which allows streaming. Audio works but accessing any video gets a 'not enough bandwidth' message. I'm on 3g so it should be fine. Also if I try and stream using my house wifi network I simply can't connect.

Is this a problem with the RealPlayer app? Does it not stream video on symbian series 3?

Also I wish website builders would always provide a standard ' play in standalone player' link as this would be the best way to access media. There are no plug-ins for the symbian browsers. No flash plug ins either. Just shows you that when you give people the web on mobiles they will immediately compare with their pc based surfing etc.

Hi tripcode,

The E61 streaming works. I have tested in a couple of different networks. Cingular and a some Finnish operator. Which country you are in (T-Mobile in U.S. does not have 3g so I am guessing Germany)?

Have your tried to play with the network settings of RealPlayer?

it might be also that the streams you are trying to stream are too fat for your connection (do you know how good/bad the connection is). Have you tried with a small stream like
rtsp://ra.yle.fi/yle24/video/uusin_mobile.rm (the URL is a daily TV news stream from Finland - if the language is garbled, its not the stream but language:-)

Hi

I'm on T Mobile in the UK on am on 3g. I phoned their support and they say that sometimes there isn;t enough bandwidth but it should work outside! I am in the centre of a major city

Not as yet. However it won't play a video stream using my own wifi network. I can get other data through that. I'm in touch with Real about this.

Do you know of any other streaming video clients that could be used?

Will try that and post back.

Thanks a lot.
