I created some Series 60 3d Edition themes for Nokia N73 with the Carbide UI and sent them to www. symbiansigned.com to get them signed.
After the themes were signed successfully, I tried to install them on the phone. The first theme worked fine but when I wanted to install the next theme, I always got a message saying that the theme already existed on the phone and if wanted to replace it. (I assure you the themes weren't on the phone before) I selected "yes" and got a message saying "update error". Can anyone tell me what the problem is? Has it to do with certain settings in the Carbide UI or is it a phone problem or...? Many thanks in advance |

WElcome to the forum. Basically each themes should have its own UID (Unique identifier), so if you did use same UID for two themes, system will think that they are the same and ask if you would like to remove the previous installation.
Then, because your themes have different target folder or file names, the system will not allow you to replace the previous installation, thus you get the "update error". To fix this, you would need to change the UID's to be unique for each Theme (also remember to request them from symbiansigned). yucca |
