Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a way to send an SMS from a laptop with a bluetooth dongle to a phone that is close enough? Without using the cellular network? is it possible? any good references? Thanks!

You can't send it so that it appears as an SMS, because it isn't an SMS, but you can send any file (e.g., a text file) using OBEX (on Windows, just right-click and from the "Send To" menu choose "Bluetooth device" and proceed from there.
